Oldest known picture of a sneeze – 1902

can you imagine how upset literally everybody in that room musta been after this happened
it took a long time to take photographs back then i bet there was a collective of nothin but sighing echoing through the room


It didn’t take a long time to take photographs by 1902, though. By then camera speed was enough to capture moving objects without horrid blur (given enough light, anyway.) Sneezes last for just seconds so if they took a long time this picture wouldn’t have been captured at all, you’d just have a blur all over her face (and possibly body, too, since she seems to have bent forward with the sneeze.)
